Full Tilt Online Tourney Winding Down |
|
The Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) is coming to a close, but as the tournament winds down, the tournament is announcing some of the biggest wins to date for the current FTOPS. The online casinos gambling industry eager anticipates the regular FTOPS events because the internet-based tourneys not only attract some of the top-name talent in the poker industry, but also award millions in prizes over the course of the tourney. The FTOPS 8 was no exception, and the event culminated in handing out more than $5 million in prizes.
The largest events for the online casinos poker tourney take place at the end of the week of tournament events and elimination rounds, and naturally some of the biggest names in the industry made it to the final events. The Main Event in this week’s ending online casinos poker tourney, the $500 Main event is still running with the gamblers competing for a lion’s share of the $2+ million prize pool.
Phil Ivey hosted one of the other major events for the FTOPS 8 – the deepstacked $2,500 buy-in event. The prize pool for the online casino poker event was enormous, coming in at $2.5 million, and the winner took home $516,000 from that prize pool. Surprisingly to some, the major poker pros in the event lost out to “Halfrek.” Many of the top pros still placed in the too 12 in the competition, but many in the online casinos poker industry assumed players like Erich Kollmann would place higher than 12th.
